THRIVING TOGETHER
Unique services & trainings designed to move you forward.
Welcome!
Some of you know me as Professor Farina. Some of you know me as Coach Kim. Some of you know me as Camden's Mom. Some of you know me just as Kim. But, if you know me, you know I am PASSIONATE about findings gaps in existing services, knowledge or business and creating services that fill those voids.
Services for Athletes
Kim was a 3 sport high school athlete and a college athlete. Her son has a college baseball scholarship. They've done prospect camps, played in little league, pony, and traveled around the country for travel ball. They made mistakes, they learned a lot, they created a lot of great memories but could have done some things differently and they don't want you to make the same mistakes. So she partnered with her long time friend, Anthony Smith, a former college football player and high school coach to create, Foothill Athlete Management. They are starting with high school consulting but are adding multiple other services for athletes of all levels over the coming months. Stay tuned!

MY INSPIRING JOURNEY
Growing up in southeast Los Angeles, Kim observed social justices around her which inspired a life-long pursuit of helping giving voice. Professor Farina takes every opportunity to educate others about the role we each play in addressing social issues such as inclusivity, understanding implicit bias and eliminating micro-aggressions. She especially enjoys working with local law enforcement agencies to bring awareness and change. Professor Farina conducts trainings in this area for faculty and for new student orientation. She is currently the Senate Chair for the ULV Faculty Diversity Committee.

Prior to joining the College of Law and Public Service, Professor Farina completed the National Trainee Management Program at American Honda Motor Co. She then worked with independent distributorships in Central and South American to bring American produced Honda products to market. Professor Farina was also an instructor, program chair and academic dean at a local college for 14 years. Under her leadership the college started several new programs, obtained multiple accreditations, and opened a new campus. She taught over 150 courses, received the honor of ‘National Instructor of the Year’, and started an undergraduate moot court program. During this time she was a member of the Association of Private Sector Colleges and University Federal Legislative Committee. Professor Farina previously taught Family Law and Crimes Against Consumers at California State University, Long Beach and while publishing the anthology, Crimes Against Consumers.

Outside of ULV, Professor Farina is frequently seen at a baseball field as her son Camden is a pitching commit chasing his MLB dreams. Professor Farina also provides training to law enforcement as a certified California Standard and Training in Corrections (STC) instructor and provider. She also operates a small family law mediation firm specializing in a unique out of court collaborative divorce process as an alternative to litigation or traditional self-representation. During the summer you might even find Professor Farina working at Foothill Athlete Management, her high school athlete recruiting business!
